Serbia and Bulgaria Police Seize Multi‑Million Dollar Drug Stockpiles

Police in Vojvodina, Serbia uncovered a hidden narcotics laboratory, confiscating more than 107 kg of drugs—including 46.3 kg of amphetamine, 61 kg of marijuana and 10 kg of creatine—plus preparation equipment, scales, mobile phones and cash totaling €17,400 and 15,000 dinars. Two suspects from the Zemun municipality were arrested and placed in custody pending further prosecution. The operation was described by Serbian media as one of the largest drug seizures in the region in recent months.

In Plovdiv, Bulgaria, law‑enforcement raids during June seized roughly 5 kg of marijuana, over 15 g of fentanyl, synthetic cannabinoids and notable amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, clonazepam and ecstasy. Authorities detained 63 individuals and opened 64 criminal investigations. Notable finds included more than 100 packets of fentanyl in the Stoilipinovo district and multiple drug caches across several neighbourhoods.

Both operations represent coordinated efforts by Balkan police to dismantle drug production, distribution and trafficking networks.
