Serbia and France discuss EU integration and Kosovo situation
Serbian officials met with René Trocaz, the French Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, to discuss bilateral relations and the regional situation. Foreign Minister Marko Đurić expressed gratitude for France's support of Serbia's European Union integration, specifically regarding the opening of Cluster 3.
Petar Petković, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, also met with Trocaz to address the situation of Serbs in Kosovo. Petković highlighted concerns regarding the legal and physical safety of Serbs, the protection of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and the lack of political will in Pristina to form the Community of Serb Municipalities or continue the Brussels dialogue.
The meetings occurred while Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was in Paris at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron.
