Serbia announces student scholarship details and teacher awards

In Serbia, applications for student scholarships and loans are open until the end of September. The Ministry of Education has announced that monthly scholarships will amount to 8,100 dinars, paid out over ten months. Selection is based on academic success and the material status of the student's household. Additionally, the state provides support for student dormitories, with budget allocations intended to keep accommodation costs between 1,600 and 2,790 dinars per month.

Separately, the Alek Kavčić Foundation has launched public voting for the ‘Prosvetitelj’ People's Award. From September 1 to September 30, citizens can vote for one of eight semifinalist teachers who did not reach the main final. The winner of this public vote will receive a cash prize of 300,000 dinars, with the announcement scheduled for October 8.
