Serbia awards 910 million‑dinar contract for Expo 2027 sanitary protection

The company Expo 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade has awarded a contract worth 910 million dinars (excluding VAT) to a consortium composed of the Institute for Public Health of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”, the City Health Institute Belgrade and the firm Eco‑San Plus d.o.o. The agreement covers the implementation of sanitary protection measures at the Expo 2027 site, including epidemiological and sanitary monitoring, laboratory testing of water, soil and noise, air‑quality monitoring, as well as disinfection, disinsection, deratization and control of mosquitoes, ticks, reptiles and invasive plants.

Director Danilo Jerinić said, “Our goal is to ensure the highest safety and health standards for all participants, visitors and staff.” The measures are intended to support the preparation of the Specialized Expo 2027 in Belgrade, scheduled for 15 May to 15 August 2027, which is expected to host over 140 international participants and attract more than four million visitors.
