Serbia declares 11 lists for extraordinary parliamentary elections
The Republic Electoral Commission has officially declared 11 electoral lists for the extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25, 2026, in Serbia. The list 'Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia' holds the first position on the ballot, having submitted 209,130 valid voter signatures. It has fielded candidates for all 250 seats in the National Assembly.
Other notable lists include 'Ivica Dačić – Factor of Stability' in second place and the 'Student List – Students Win' in third. Minority lists, such as those representing Rasim Ljajić, the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, and Usame Zukorlić, have also been documented. Notably, the list 'Izbor naroda – Miroslav Miki Aleksić – Miloš Parandilović – Aleksandar Jovanović Ćuta' remains on the list despite the constituent parties announcing their withdrawal to support the Student List.
Political analysts note that the high number of participating lists may lead to a significant number of 'wasted' votes that fail to meet the electoral threshold. While minority parties benefit from a natural threshold, most other lists must surpass a 3% census. The final number of participants may change before the October 4 deadline for submitting electoral lists.
