Serbia launches 30,000 tourism vouchers worth 10,000 dinars each

The Serbian government announced a new cycle of domestic‑tourism subsidies, issuing 30,000 vouchers valued at 10,000 dinars each. Eligible recipients include pensioners over 65, employees earning less than 80,000 dinars per month, unemployed persons registered with the employment service, university students, registered farmers, war veterans and caregivers.

Applicants must book a minimum five‑night stay at a listed accommodation, gather personal identification, reservation confirmation and proof of eligibility, and submit the paperwork in person at a post‑office counter no later than 30 days before travel. The programme is intended to stimulate tourism in locations such as Vrnjačka Banja, Sokobanja, Zlatibor, Tara and Vrdnik.

To curb past abuse, the state introduced strict monitoring: security agencies will oversee distribution, vouchers carry a water‑mark anti‑counterfeit stamp, and tourism inspectors will impose fines up to 800,000 dinars on hotels or providers involved in fraud or resale of vouchers.
