Regional governments and organizations launch student scholarships and newborn aid

Various municipalities and organizations in Croatia and Serbia have announced new financial support programs for students and newborns.

In Croatia, the City of Požega distributed 25,600 euros in gifts to 40 newborns. Mayor Borislav Miličević hosted a reception for the families, noting that the city provides tiered assistance ranging from 400 to 1,000 euros per child. Other Croatian municipalities are focusing on vocational education: Novi Marof has allocated 120 scholarships for deficit occupations, Sinj increased its student scholarships to 60 euros monthly, and Donji Kraljevec is offering 10 scholarships for specific trades. Additionally, the Libertas Foundation awarded 14 scholarships to students in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County to support trades and encourage local residency.

In Serbia, the Ministry of Defense and the Directorate for Military Health have opened a competition for 40 scholarships for medical students, offering up to 35,000 dinars monthly with guaranteed employment in the defense system. Similarly, the company Srbijavoz has launched a scholarship program for railway vocational students, providing monthly stipends, practical training, and job security upon graduation.
