Serbia PIO Fund completes distribution of state aid to pensioners

Relja Ognjenović, director of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO), announced that all state aid for pensioners has been transferred to banks and the Post of Serbia. This follows the early disbursement of pensions for all categories.

Ognjenović also highlighted a previously announced 7.5 percent pension increase scheduled for December. This adjustment is expected to bring the average pension to approximately 61,100 dinars, or about 522 euros.

Additional social support measures include 240 million dinars for solidarity aid packages, over one billion dinars for free spa stays, and more than 30 million dinars for social standards and cultural activities. Furthermore, a new comprehensive package with the medical sector is being prepared to expand coverage across Serbia, and pensioners will receive significant discounts at over 160 locations via pensioner cards.
