Serbia promotes EXPO 2027 through regional tours and diaspora engagement
Preparations for EXPO 2027 Belgrade continue through various national promotional activities. In Sremska Mitrovica, the "Expo Caravan" was launched to showcase the city's cultural, historical, and natural heritage, including its Roman legacy and the Zasavica Special Nature Reserve. Jovan Velkovski, Director of General Affairs for EXPO 2027, stated that the caravan aims to demonstrate that the exhibition is a national asset belonging to all Serbian cities, not just Belgrade.
Simultaneously, the "Serbia Calls You" sports and educational camp hosted 435 children from the diaspora representing 17 different countries at the Belgrade Fair's "EXPO 2027 Playground." Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Adriana Mesarović emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen the connection between diaspora youth and their homeland. Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027, invited the participants to attend the official opening of the international exhibition in 2027.
