Serbia recognizes 100 most successful young athletes
Thirteen-year-old swimmer Strahinja Rakić and sixteen-year-old combat athlete Milica Nikolić have been named among the 100 most successful young athletes in Serbia. The selection was organized by the Club of Youth to highlight talents under the age of 19 who represent the future of Serbian sports.
Rakić, a swimmer from the Proleter club in Zrenjanin, has earned approximately 150 medals in domestic and international competitions. Despite a lack of local facilities, he travels roughly 600 kilometers weekly to train in Bečej or Novi Sad. Nikolić, representing the Nikolić Fight sports association, has achieved success in Savate boxing and kickboxing, earning medals at both European and world championships.
