Serbia reports return of 14 medical professionals from abroad

The Serbian Ministry of Health's Diaspora Cooperation Office announced that 14 additional healthcare workers are returning to the country to continue their professional careers in medical institutions across Serbia. This brings the total number of returning medical professionals to nearly 500.

The returning group includes six doctors from Germany, two from the United States, and two from Switzerland, as well as one professional each from Slovenia, Saudi Arabia, Austria, and England. These specialists will be deployed to various regions, including Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, and Leskovac, to apply expertise gained in international healthcare systems.

Acting Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar stated that the return of these professionals symbolizes the strengthening of the Serbian healthcare system and reflects confidence in the country's future. The Ministry noted that while investments have been made in hospitals and equipment, the return of skilled personnel is essential for improving healthcare accessibility and efficiency.
