Serbia signs 100.5 million euro battery factory deal with China's Jiangsu Reliance

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with representatives from the Chinese company Jiangsu Reliance Energy Tech to sign a framework agreement for the construction of a high-tech battery factory in Inđija. The investment, valued at approximately 100.5 million euros, focuses on producing advanced batteries for drones, humanoid robots, unmanned vehicles, electric tools, and household appliances.

The location in Inđija was selected to support the investor's plan to develop a comprehensive industrial park dedicated to robotics and drone technology. The proximity to Belgrade and Novi Sad is expected to provide the necessary workforce for the facility. This project aims to position Serbia more prominently within the global production chain for robotics and unmanned technology equipment.
