Serbia weather: Warm period to end October 9

Meteorologist Ivan Ristić has announced that the warm period known as ‘St. Demetrius summer’ in Serbia will last until Friday, October 9. Currently, the region is experiencing significant temperature fluctuations, with frosty mornings followed by sunny afternoons reaching over 25 degrees Celsius.

A cold front is expected to arrive on October 9, bringing rain and a temperature drop of approximately 10 degrees. Following this, a more intense period of cooling is predicted between October 15 and 20, which may bring snowfall to mountain regions such as Zlatibor and Kopaonik, as well as lower elevations around 600 to 700 meters.

By the end of October, weather conditions are expected to stabilize, though daytime temperatures will likely decrease to between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, accompanied by cold mornings and fog.
