Serbian Army completes international UN civilian protection course

The Serbian Army has successfully concluded an international training course focused on civilian protection during peacekeeping operations. Held at the ‘Jug’ base near Bujanovac, the five-day specialized program was organized by the Serbian Army Peacekeeping Operations Center, which holds certification from the United Nations Integrated Training Service.

Participants included members of the Serbian Armed Forces and military personnel from 14 different countries. The curriculum covered the latest standards, procedures, and practical methods for protecting civilian populations in crisis and war zones where lives are at immediate risk.

In addition to Serbian instructors, the training featured guest lecturers from partner centers in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Germany, and Switzerland. The high level of international participation is noted as a confirmation of the quality of the Serbian military's training and its status as a recognized regional institution for peacekeeping preparation.
