Serbian Football Association signs SuperBet deal and adopts successor liability rule

The Football Association of the Eastern Serbia region (FSRIS) signed an exclusive sponsorship and technical cooperation agreement with betting company SuperBet in Niš. President Vladan Gašić said the partnership will provide clubs with equipment, financial support for match costs and help raise the level of regional football. SuperBet aims to expand its regional influence, building on a similar project in Poland.

Separately, the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) approved amendments to its disciplinary regulations introducing the concept of a "sporting successor". Under the new rules, a club that continues the identity of a dissolved predecessor – through name, colors, venue, players or ownership – will inherit the predecessor’s debts. The changes aim to prevent clubs from evading liabilities, align Serbian football with FIFA standards, and streamline creditor procedures, with appeals to the Court of Sports Arbitration in Lausanne.
