Serbian government allocates €10 million for water works and 30 million dinars for fishpond upgrades

The Serbian cabinet approved a decision to transfer 1.15 billion dinars (about €9.8 million) from the budget reserve to urgent water‑related projects. The funds will finance Danube cleaning and mud removal near the Lido area for Expo 2027, construction of new storm‑water channels at Makiš, a rain‑water collection system at Nikola Tesla Airport, and reinforcement of the left bank of the Sava River in Surčin.

The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry launched a competition to award up to 30 million dinars to registered fish‑farm holdings in Vojvodina. Grants cover up to 70 % of earth‑work costs for building new ponds or reconstructing existing ones, with a maximum of 5 million dinars per application and specific limits on pond size and funding per hectare.
