Serbian Ministry of Education Sets Mid‑July Deadline for Tuition Refund Data, Plans First Payout After July 15

The Ministry of Education instructed all Serbian public universities to upload complete data on self‑financing students who paid tuition up to 28 February 2026 into the Unified Information System for Education (JISP) by mid‑July. The first installment, covering 50 % of the tuition for first‑time enrolled subjects, will be paid to eligible students after 15 July. A second installment is scheduled for early October, also refunding 50 % of the tuition for the same subjects. Students must apply for a student payment card through the Treasury Administration portal, as refunds are transferred only to the account linked to that card. The refund scheme follows amendments to the Higher Education Law enacted in March 2025, granting Serbian citizens at state‑founded universities a 50 % reimbursement of tuition costs.
