Serbian MP Anđela Ruvidić Declares Government Lacks Political and Moral Legitimacy

Anđela Ruvidić, a member of the Green‑Left Front (ZLF) and newly appointed MP, said in an interview with the daily Nova that the Serbian government led by Prime Minister Đuro Macut has neither political nor moral legitimacy to continue governing the country.

She argued the current administration is not materially different from previous ones dominated by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), describing an “endless circle of corruption, violence and neglect of citizens” over the past 14 years, with deteriorating public services and a falling standard of living.

Ruvidić also criticised the parliament as a “service of the executive” and said her legislative focus will be on public infrastructure, safe and affordable water supply, environmental protection and responsible management of public investments.
