Eleven ballet dancers and performers from the Serbian National Theatre (SNP) have filed a lawsuit with the Higher Court in Novi Sad against the institution, alleging mobbing by the ballet's artistic director, Aja Jung.

The plaintiffs claim that the harassment has persisted for nearly two years. Specific allegations include the dismissal of experienced Serbian performers in favor of foreign dancers, discriminatory role assignments, and the initiation of unfounded disciplinary proceedings. The dancers also allege that Jung has unfairly retired 12 performers and stripped veteran répétiteurs of their duties.

A significant portion of the complaint focuses on the treatment of dancers over the age of 40. The performers argue that mandatory daily exercises intended to improve physical condition and technique infringe upon their dignity and jeopardize their health, given their age and professional history.

In addition to the legal action, the performers have submitted an initiative to the SNP management requesting the dismissal of Aja Jung. They have also previously requested an investigation into her professional experience and artistic qualifications.
