Serbian Performer Dragomir Despić Sparks Controversy with Garbage‑Truck Stunt and Montenegro Detention

In July 2026, Serbian visual‑artist and performer Dragomir Despić, known as “Desingerica”, posted a video on Instagram showing himself dressed in a fluorescent safety vest and operating a municipal garbage‑truck in Belgrade. He struggled to keep up with his colleagues, who warned him “Dobićeš otkaz!” (“You will be fired!”).

Later that summer, Despić said he was taken to a police station in Montenegro and held for several hours because officials claimed his performance documentation was incomplete. He described the detention as lasting “a few hours” and criticised the authorities for the treatment.
