Serbian shooters and boxers gear up for Mediterranean Games in Taranto

Eight Serbian shooters, including Olympic champions Zorana Arunović and Damir Mikec, will compete in the shooting events of the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy, from 26 to 31 August. The team comprises four pistol shooters (two women and two men) and four rifle shooters, supported by three coaches.

Serbia's boxing federation announced a nine‑member squad that has entered the final stage of preparation after three weeks of intensive training at the Jahorina mountain resort. Selector Milan Piperski praised the camp, saying, "the three weeks at Jahorina were extremely high quality." The boxers will complete their preparation at a camp in the Italian Olympic Centre before the Games, which run from 21 August to 3 September. Both teams aim to win medals and confirm the strength of Serbian sport in the Mediterranean region.
