Serbian Singer Milan Vasić Restricted from Singing About Metohija by Kosovo Police
Serbian actor and singer Milan Vasić was summoned by Kosovo police for an informational interview before a cultural‑artistic program at the Monastery of the Holy Archangels near Prizren on July 26. Police presented him with a written list of prohibited content, stating that he could not perform any song that mentioned Metohija or used national symbols in a negative context. Vasić said, "they told me I may not sing any song that mentions Metohija," and removed such pieces from his repertoire.
During the event, police officers with snipers were visible at the venue, but the concert proceeded peacefully, drawing roughly 3,000 attendees from Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia and other regions. Vasić emphasized that the programme was cultural rather than political and expressed relief that no incidents occurred.
