Serbian traffic accidents kill two young men in separate crashes

Two fatal road incidents occurred in Serbia. In Banja Koviljača, an 18‑year‑old Marko J. and 18‑year‑old Bogdan M. died when a Volkswagen Golf driven by a driver with a provisional licence lost control, left the road and collided with a tree. The vehicle was destroyed, and the Ministry of Interior called for stricter adherence to speed limits and driving rules, especially for novice drivers.

In a separate crash near Šabac, 62‑year‑old driver V. K. was accused of striking motorcyclist Dragan Lazić with a Citroën while changing lanes. Lazić succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. V. K. was released from detention, had his licence temporarily revoked, and remains under investigation with technical‑expert examination ongoing.
