Serbian Traffic Police Detain Drunk, Drugged Motorcyclist in Pančevo

In Pančevo, Serbian traffic police stopped a 29‑year‑old BMW motorcyclist who was riding without a helmet. A breath test showed a blood‑alcohol level of 0.61‰ and a drug test detected cocaine. The motorcycle also lacked a registration plate. The rider was removed from traffic, detained and faced appropriate misdemeanor charges.

The police announced that since early July, traffic officers operating on motorcycles have identified 174 violations, with the most common offenses being failure to wear a helmet (47 cases), missing registration plates (26) and operating the bike without the proper licence category (19). Authorities said they will continue intensive checks to improve safety for motorcyclists and other road users.
