Serbian universities open 2026 admission periods for thousands of students

On Monday, 22 June 2026, the State University of Novi Pazar began its first admission round. Applications are accepted for three days (22‑24 June) for a total of 620 places, of which 400 are funded by the budget. The university plans to admit the most students in the Technical‑Technological Sciences department, offering 170 seats across Architecture, Civil Engineering and Software Engineering. Other departments include Economics and Management (50 seats each), Tourism (50), Education and Psychology (60), Languages (60), Natural‑Mathematical Sciences (80), Biomedical Sciences (90) and Health Care (60). Tuition fees range from 65 000 to 75 000 dinars, except for Pharmacy, which costs 125 000 dinars for self‑financing students. Entrance exams are scheduled for 29‑30 June, the provisional ranking will be published on 10 July and final enrollment must be completed by 16 July.

Meanwhile, the University of Belgrade started its first admission round on 21 June, running until 23 June. Competition is intense for the most sought‑after faculties. The Faculty of Organizational Sciences received 1 679 applications for 1 040 budget seats, Economics attracted 1 588 applicants for 1 320 seats, and Medicine saw 1 081 candidates for 530 places. Architecture, Electrical Engineering, and Dentistry also reported high demand, with 565, 878 and 715 applicants for 304, 720 and 250 seats respectively. Across all faculties, the university offers 15 315 places in 109 programmes for the 2026 academic year.
