Serbian universities begin June entrance exams across multiple campuses

Entrance examinations for the 2024/2025 academic year started on 24 June at the University of Belgrade and the University of Niš, with the University of Novi Sad following on 25 June, Kragujevac on 26 June, Novi Pazar on 29 June and the University of Priština (temporary campus in Kosovska Mitrovica) on 30 June. The first‑day exams at Belgrade cover the Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Dentistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical‑Materials Engineering and Mining‑Geology; several of these faculties continue testing on 25 June, while others run through 26–30 June.

Additional faculties holding exams on the opening days include Veterinary Medicine, Orthodox Theology, Civil Engineering, Philosophy, Forestry, Physics, Agriculture, Mathematics, Transport, Architecture, Sports, Security, Geography, Medicine, Physical Chemistry, Pharmacy and Law. Artistic faculties (Music, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Drama) run separate schedules throughout June and July.

Because of low applicant interest, many budget places remain unfilled. Faculties with the most vacant seats are Geography, Physics, Chemistry and the Faculty of Physical Chemistry. The Agriculture faculty offers 650 budget slots, while the Mining‑Geology faculty received only a handful of candidates for its geophysics and hydrogeology programmes. These under‑subscribed faculties provide a secured enrollment opportunity for students with lower high‑school scores.
