Serbian women's boxing team starts intensive camp at Zlatibor
The senior and junior squads of Serbia’s women’s boxing federation began a rigorous training camp on Zlatibor, scheduled to run until 30 July. Athletes are training twice daily under a programme that emphasizes physical conditioning, technical‑tactical drills and sparring sessions. Selected seniors – Nikolina Džida, Sara Ćirković, Jelena Zekić, Natalija Šadrina, Kristina Kuluho‑va, Anastasija Bošković, Anastasija Lukaijić, Milena Matović and Nikolina Gajić – and juniors – Natasa Lukić, Jovana Devi‑taković, Đunja Vuksić and Sonja Vuksić – are overseen by national selector Mirko Zdralo and coaches Pedro Rancel and Alan Bichenov.
Zdralo praised the start of the preparations, noting the athletes’ motivation and the “excellent atmosphere” in the team. The camp is intended to sharpen the boxers ahead of key events including the European U23 Championships in Ljubljana, the Mediterranean Games in Italy, the European senior championship in Sofia and the World Cup finals in Uzbekistan, all viewed as steps toward winning an Olympic medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
