Serbia's average monthly salary hits €1,036, up 9.5% real growth in March

Serbian Finance Minister Siniša Mali announced that the average net monthly salary in Serbia for March 2026 was 121,650 dinars (about €1,036). Compared with the same month a year earlier, the nominal increase was 12.6% and the real increase was 9.5%. For the January‑March period the average net salary was 118,736 dinars (€1,011).

Mali highlighted the long‑term rise from a 2012 average of €366 and noted that Serbia has moved from the bottom of the regional wage list to surpass several neighbours. The government’s wage‑growth strategy aims for an average salary of €1,400 by the end of 2027 and €1,700 by 2030.
