Serbia's Coordination Office Meets Minister on Minority Address Registration and Preševo Infrastructure

On 9 July 2026, Nenad Mitrović, director of the Coordination Body for Southern Serbia, met with Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Demir Beriša in Bujanovac. The discussion covered the launch of an informational campaign on the passive registration of addresses for national minorities, carried out under the 2026‑2029 Action Plan for minority rights.

Mitrović also presented the outcomes of a meeting with the president of the National Council of Albanians, Enkel Redžepi, outlining the council’s demands. He requested the minister’s support for a joint session involving the ministry, the Coordination Body, and the Albanian minority council to address outstanding issues. A significant part of the talks focused on accelerating vital infrastructure projects in the municipality of Preševo, with the minister emphasising the importance of continued cooperation among republican institutions and minority representatives.
