Serbia's EDS releases citywide power outage schedule for today

The electric distribution company EDS published a detailed list of planned electricity cuts for today across Belgrade. The schedule lists specific streets and apartment blocks in municipalities such as Vračar, Čukarica, Zemun, Zvezdara, Voždovac, Rakovica, New Belgrade, Lazarevac and others, with outage windows ranging from early morning until late afternoon. Each address is paired with the exact hours when service will be suspended, for example Vračar from 08:30‑14:00 on several streets, Čukarica from 09:00‑12:00, and Zemun from 10:00‑14:00.

An accompanying expert commentary notes that smart meters could help reduce electricity consumption because they enable two‑way measurement and greater precision.
