Serbia's Republic Electoral Commission announces major electoral lists

The Republic Electoral Commission of Serbia has officially announced several electoral lists for the upcoming elections.

The list ‘Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia’ has been registered under number one. Notably, Samir Tandir is positioned at number 43 on this list. Tandir, a former MP and founder of the Bosniak-Serbian Alliance, was sentenced to seven months in prison by the Basic Court in Prijepolje for causing bodily injury during an incident in September 2020.

Additionally, the Commission has proclaimed the list ‘Ivica Dačić – factor of stability’, submitted by a coalition including the Socialist Party of Serbia, United Serbia, Social Democratic Party of Serbia, and Green Serbia. This list, led by Ivica Dačić, received 18,162 signatures and includes several candidates from the Timok Krajina region, including representatives from Bor, Knjaževac, Negotin, and Zaječar.
