Sergej Poposki rises from TikTok popularity to major regional stages

Macedonian singer Sergej Poposki has experienced a rapid rise to prominence, transitioning from posting garage-recorded videos on TikTok to performing on major regional stages. The 23-year-old singer, originally from Prilep, recently performed as the opening act for his musical idol, Željko Bebek, at the Križanke venue in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Poposki’s performance included regional hits and a cover of Queen’s ‘I Want to Break Free’. His musical background includes formal training started at age five under his grandfather and participation in various festivals such as Makfest and Ohrid Fest. He currently resides in Ljubljana.

In Zagreb, Poposki also premiered his new song and music video, ‘Jednom zauvijek’. The track, which was recorded in Zagreb, explores themes of loss and realization. Poposki noted that he prefers to maintain a sense of mystery regarding his music to allow listeners to find their own stories within his songs.
