Sergio Moro files government plan amid legal challenge in Paraná
Sergio Moro (PL), a candidate for the governorship of Paraná, is set to file his government plan with the Regional Electoral Court of Paraná (TRE-PR). The document was developed through a methodology involving 6,338 public suggestions from 399 municipalities, contributions from over 100 entities, and technical input from 200 specialists.
However, the PSD coalition, led by candidate Sandro Alex, has filed a legal challenge requesting the rejection of Moro's candidacy. The PSD argues that Moro failed to present a proper government plan during his initial registration with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), claiming the document provided was merely a generic one-page file. Moro's legal team maintains that the registration is valid and that documentation can be supplemented until August 15.
In recent polling by Neokemp/OCP News, Moro leads the gubernatorial race with 45.7% of the intended votes, followed by Requião Filho (23.2%) and Sandro Alex (18.2%). Meanwhile, Requião Filho has campaigned on a platform to end the 'Parceiro da Escola' program and has proposed ways to repurchase Copel shares through tax reform.
