Serious road accidents injure multiple people in Albania

A motorbike collision in the village of Çekrez, Gramsh municipality, injured a married couple after a horse suddenly entered the road. The victims were taken first to the local Gramsh hospital and then transferred by ambulance to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for further treatment. Police have opened an investigation into the incident and are examining the issue of stray animals on rural roads.

Later in the day, a severe crash occurred on the old Fier–Vlorë highway at the Kthesa e Qarrit junction. A BMW struck a food‑laden truck, leaving a passenger from the truck injured. The injured passenger was transported by ambulance to the Regional Hospital in Fier. Police and emergency services responded to both scenes and are investigating the causes of the accidents.
