Serradifalco schoolmates reunite after five decades

Leonardo Sillitto and Gaetano Amico, classmates from the 1957 class in Serradifalco, Sicily, met again after more than 50 years apart. Both grew up playing football on the local field, supporting rival clubs—Leonardo for Juventus and Gaetano for Inter—and later emigrated, Leonardo to Warstein near Dortmund and Gaetano to Toulon, France. Their reunion was completed by their former classmate Tommaso Degno, forming the original trio. The three friends recalled their youth, shared memories of matches and local cafés, and celebrated the occasion with a drink of Crodino, describing the meeting as “the most beautiful victory.”
