Sesc celebrates 80 years with cultural events in Cuiabá

Sesc recently marked its 80th anniversary with a major celebration at Sesc Arsenal in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. The event featured performances by the Orquestra Sesc Pantanal, led by maestro Habel Dy Anjos, and the show ‘Fronteira Pantaneira’ by Henrique Maluf. During the ceremony, officials including Sebastião Gonçalves and Marcos José da Silva highlighted the institution’s role in social development through health, education, and culture.

Following the anniversary, the Palco Giratório project will bring a series of free cultural activities to Cuiabá from October 3 to 10. The program includes theatrical performances such as ‘No Armário Não Cabe Ninguém’ from Paraná and ‘HÁ’ from Minas Gerais, the latter of which addresses the impact of screen time on children. Additionally, the event offers workshops, such as a creative session for children to build toys from recyclable materials.
