Sesc Goiás offers free literary events in August across Goiânia, Itumbiara and Jataí

The Sesc Goiás library network will run a month‑long free literary program in August at its branches in Goiânia, Itumbiara and Jataí. Activities include story‑telling sessions, book clubs, literary tributes and reading‑play workshops for children, youth, adults and seniors.

Highlights feature a dedicated showcase of local writer Miguel Jorge at the Sesc Centro library, a storytelling performance by the character Zé do Conto in Itumbiara, and a book‑club discussion of Fernando Sabino’s works. Program officials Marcelo Baiocchi Carneiro and Leopoldo Veiga Jardim said the initiative aims to promote reading and community engagement throughout the state of Goiás.
