Municipal authorities in Goiás launched a free children’s reading space at the Biblioteca Municipal Cora Coralina in Goiânia and organized a complimentary storytelling session at Sorocaba’s Biblioteca Infantil Municipal Renato Sêneca de Sá Fleury. Later the same day, the Sesc Goiás network announced a month‑long, state‑wide free literary program for August at its branches in Goiânia, Itumbiara and Jataí. The schedule includes storytelling, book‑clubs, literary tributes and reading‑play workshops for children, youth, adults and seniors, with highlights such as a showcase for local writer Miguel Jorge and a performance by the character Zé do Conto. Officials emphasized the aim of fostering reading and community engagement across the state.
