Sesc units in Brazil host cultural and educational programs
Sesc Birigui is hosting a free Children's Week from October 10 to 12, featuring a variety of activities including theater, music, and workshops. Highlights include the award-winning puppet show ‘Cocô de Passarinho’, musical performances such as ‘Quando o Choro Vira Brincadeira’, and educational shows like ‘Planeta Oca’ which addresses environmental and indigenous themes with Libras interpretation. The unit also offers workshops on kite-making poetry, Japanese Kamishibai paper theater, and a book and toy exchange fair.
In São Caetano, Sesc is conducting a month-long program in October focused on literature, ancestry, and education. The schedule includes workshops on African ancestral aesthetics and hair identity led by Amanda Coelho, as well as sessions on Ubuntu philosophy and the Mancala Awalé game led by Robson Gonçalves da Silva. The programming also features lectures on children's literature and its role in early childhood development.
