Porto de Setúbal invests 384,000 euros in Doca de Pesca upgrades

Porto de Setúbal has launched a 384,130 euro project to requalify the floating walkways at the Doca de Pesca. The intervention aims to improve safety and operational efficiency for maritime activities, addressing the degradation of existing structures.

The new walkways will be constructed using marine concrete reinforced with galvanized steel mesh and a coated expanded polystyrene core, featuring impregnated Nordic pine fenders. This design is intended to be more robust and better suited to the specific conditions of the marine environment.

To minimize disruption to fishing dock activities, the work is organized into four phases. This includes the replacement of line 3, the installation of longitudinal support lines, the temporary relocation of lines 1 and 2, and the final installation of double walkways under the access bridge. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
