Seva Sankalp Yatra travels 35,500 km across India

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has launched the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’, a service-oriented journey spanning 35,500 kilometres across India. Running from September 17 to October 7, the initiative involves 20 teams traveling between Vadnagar and Varanasi to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.

The Yatra focuses on grassroots engagement through various social welfare activities. These include cleanliness drives at public sites like temples and schools, tree plantation programs, and support for orphanages and old-age homes. Participants are also engaging in community dialogues, such as youth and women-focused discussions, to understand local aspirations.

As the journey progresses, teams have entered states including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The movement incorporates cultural and social elements, such as honoring ASHA workers, distributing kits to widows, and organizing spiritual gatherings, all aimed at promoting social responsibility and community mobilization.
