Seven-Eleven Japan announces onigiri sales and app promotions
Seven-Eleven Japan has announced several consumer promotions and service updates. Starting October 1, 2026, the retailer is holding an ‘onigiri just price sale’ to address increasing consumer needs for savings. The first phase, running October 1–2, offers select hand-rolled onigiri for 150 yen (excluding tax). The second phase, running October 3–4, offers select ‘ginshari musubi’ for 100 yen (excluding tax).
Additionally, the company is launching a daily lottery for Seven-Eleven app members throughout October. During the first half of the month (October 1–15), seven daily winners can receive 20,000 yen in gift certificates. In the second half (October 16–31), seven daily winners will receive a set of ten discount coupons for sweets, bread, coffee, and frozen foods. On days ending in 7, the number of first-prize winners increases elevenfold to 77 people per day. A second-tier prize of one Seven Mile will also be awarded to 10,000 people daily.
In specific regional updates for Kawagoe City, new store construction is progressing near Sugawara Shrine, and the Kawagoe Shin-Kagashi location has implemented a ticket machine that allows customers to order fresh hot snacks via the 7NOW mobile order system without needing a smartphone.
