Seven-Eleven Japan launches large-volume rice ball series

Seven-Eleven Japan is launching a new series of large-sized rice balls called ‘Okii na Omusubi’ starting September 8. These products feature approximately 1.6 times the amount of rice found in standard hand-rolled rice balls.

The initial release includes two varieties: ‘Fried Chicken Mayonnaise’ and ‘Shrimp Mayonnaise.’ The products will be available sequentially at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide, excluding Okinawa.

To celebrate the launch, the company will hold a five-day promotional sale from September 9 to September 13. During this period, customers can receive a 50 yen discount for every two eligible rice balls or sushi items (priced at 400 yen or less excluding tax) purchased together.
