Seven-Eleven Japan launches regional food products in Shizuoka and nationwide
Seven-Eleven Japan is launching several regional and collaborative food products. In Shizuoka Prefecture, the retailer is introducing three prefecture-exclusive items starting September 22, 2026. These include a fire-grilled tsukune onigiri made with Shizuoka herb chicken, a garlic salt pasta also featuring local herb chicken, and Hamanako seaweed tempura chips made from traditional Hamanako seaweed.
On a national scale, Seven-Eleven is expanding its Hokkaido Fair, which features 12 different gourmet items. A key highlight is the new salt ramen supervised by the popular Sapporo restaurant Sumire, scheduled for nationwide release on September 29, 2026. This ramen features a rich chicken broth with lard and garlic, paired with medium-thick curly noodles made from Hokkaido wheat. While the salt ramen will be available across Japan, a separate miso ramen supervised by Sumire remains available specifically in Hokkaido.
