Severe Storm Devastates Teramo Province, Regional Councilor Calls for Disaster Declared

A powerful storm swept through the province of Teramo in Italy, causing extensive damage to homes, businesses, farms, vehicles and public infrastructure within minutes. Regional councilor Sandro Mariani expressed solidarity with affected citizens and urged the Abruzzo regional government to recognize the area as a natural disaster, enabling emergency assistance and financial support.

Mariani called on municipalities to promptly document damage and complete damage assessments so that aid can be allocated swiftly. He emphasized cooperation between regional authorities, the civil protection agency and the national government to address the aftermath of the event.
