Severe Storms Forecast for Nebraska and Surrounding Areas on Saturday

A weather alert has been issued for Saturday with two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms expected across southeast Nebraska and the surrounding mid‑Midwest region. The morning session, before sunrise, may produce isolated high winds, hail up to quarter‑size, and damaging winds above 60 mph. A second, larger line of storms is forecast to move in from the northwest in the evening, bringing additional hail, strong winds and flash‑flood risks, with rain totals of one to two inches possible.

Temperatures are set to fall to the mid‑60s overnight, then rise into the 80s on Saturday before cooling to the 70s on Sunday. Residents are advised to monitor local warnings and stay clear of hazardous conditions.
