Severe Storms Hit Tuscia, Italy, Causing Fallen Trees and Road Closures

A violent weather front struck the southern Tuscia area of Italy on the afternoon of 6 August 2026, bringing intense rain, strong gusts and a tornado‑like wind. The storm knocked down dozens of trees and large branches in the municipalities of Civita Castellana, Corchiano, Gradoli and Fabrica di Roma, damaging roofs, verandas, antennas and satellite dishes, and causing localized flooding.

In Corchiano a falling tree struck a moving car; the driver suffered only minor facial abrasions and was treated on site by emergency medical personnel. Firefighters, civil‑protection volunteers and police worked to clear the debris, secure the sites and reopen the affected roads. The municipality temporarily closed the Primo Maggio park as a precaution and restricted several provincial routes while cleanup continued.
