Severe storms cause damage and outages across US and Canada

Severe weather has impacted multiple regions across North America, including parts of the United States and Canada. In Southeast Wisconsin, heavy storms and tornado warnings resulted in significant damage on Tuesday night. Fallen trees were reported in Sussex and Waukesha, while Milwaukee saw damage to local businesses. More than 30,000 people lost power, with the majority of outages concentrated in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.

In the central United States, the Storm Prediction Center issued warnings for portions of eastern Kansas and western Missouri. A severe thunderstorm watch remained in effect for the Kansas-Missouri border, with risks of wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to 1.25 inches.

In southern Alberta, Canada, severe thunderstorm watches were issued for areas including Calgary, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat. The storms brought risks of large hail, strong winds, and heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flooding.
