Severe wind gusts damage Detroit suburbs after thunderstorm warning

On Friday evening, the predicted conditions materialized as brief but intense wind gusts swept through metro Detroit. The short‑lived storm, lasting about 10‑15 minutes, caused notable damage in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights, with trees, power lines, and structures affected across the area.
