Sevilla access roads face heavy traffic and accidents
Major traffic congestion and delays have been reported on the primary routes leading to Sevilla, particularly affecting travelers returning from the Cádiz coast during the summer season.
On the A-49 highway, an accident near Huévar del Aljarafe caused lane closures and slow-moving traffic between Chucena and Huévar del Aljarafe. Additionally, a stalled vehicle was reported in the same area.
The AP-4 highway also experienced significant congestion, specifically between Lebrija and Las Cabezas de San Juan. The A-471 highway between Trebujena and Lebrija also saw heavy traffic as drivers returned from the coast. The Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) noted that these bottlenecks are characteristic of summer Sundays when high volumes of vehicles move toward Sevilla.
